Beaverfoot Lodge

Golden, British Columbia, Canada

Beaverfoot Lodge is situated in a wilderness valley adjacent to Yoho National Park. Don & Patsy Wolfenden have been in the Beaverfoot valley since 1979 and, with their sons Adam, Warren and Troy, would like to invite you to share their garden of eden and enjoy their hospitality. The Lodge is family owned, operated and offers an unique combination of rustic wilderness and physical comfort. It is a 2 story log building with 11 separate bedrooms and a shared bathroom facility. The bedrooms are upstairs, while downstairs is a large lounge with a central fireplace for cozy evenings. Meals are served ranch style in a communal dining room. The porch along the front is a favorite place to relax, have a drink and appreciate the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains. Hummingbirds are constantly flitting around the feeders while numerous other songbirds can be heard in the nearby trees. Deer and elk often wander into the fields with the horses and mountain goat can be spotted on the mountain facing the lodge.

Three meals a day are served while snacks of fruit or fresh baked goods are available for munching at any time. The food is traditional Canadian fare, featuring roast beef, baked ham, turkey and fresh trout accompanied by fresh salads, home grown vegetables, fresh baked bread and home baked desserts. It is possible to come to the lodge for dinner only if you book ahead.

From Calgary, it is an easy drive to the lodge or if you take the bus or train, a pick up can be arranged in Golden.
