Deluxe Coach Tour to Gathering of Nations

The Wachiay Friendship Centre and Cumberland Transportation are excited about plans for our upcoming deluxe coach tour to Gathering of Nations - the largest Powwow in North America!  Held annually at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, Gathering of Nations is a colourful and spectacular event featuring the best Native performers from all over Canada and the US. We invite everyone to join us for this fun-filled tour.

Leaving Courtenay April 19, with pickups available  in Parksville, Nanaimo, Duncan, Victoria, Vancouver and points in between, our itinerary includes three full days at the “Gathering of Nations”, April 23, 24, and 25. Come with us to experience the colour and pageantry of the best Native American dancers, drummers, and singers plus the excitement of Indian Traders Market and Miss Indian World pageant.  We will travel in style and comfort aboard a roomy, fully equipped coach for 14 days of sightseeing, shopping, touring historic sites of the American Southwest, and the colour and excitement of the Powwow!  For shoppers, the Indian Traders Market offers a unique experience focusing on Native crafts, jewelry, clothing and other items.

Our itinerary also includes visits to historical and archeological sites including Tombstone, Casa Grande, the Grand Canyon, Montezuma’s Castle, Sedona, and other interesting and intriguing places.  All hotel accommodations, most meals, special on board activities, the services of our tour guide and hostess, a wine and cheese reception and more are included in the low group rate of $1295.00 (Cdn) per person.  Travel with us in a comfortable, galley equipped coach and enjoy on board self-serve hot and cold refreshments, light meals and snacks served by our hostess.  Seating is limited so call the Wachiay Friendship Centre at 338-7280 or Cumberland Transportation at 338-0081 to make your reservations now.  A deposit of 25% is required at time of booking, the balance is due 30 days prior to departure.
