HOMESTEAD NAMED IN TOP 10 WINTER SKI DESTINATIONS IN WORLD
The Homestead Resort was ranked eighth among the top 50 ski resorts in the world by 4,000 readers of Conde Nast Traveler.
The prestigious travel magazine contracted with Mark Clements Research, Inc., an independent research firm to prepare a nationwide survey on ski resort preferences. The outcome was intended to reveal a resort's character rather than to catalog its facilities.
The survey asked the readers to evaluate resorts they had visited in the past three years using criteria that included terrain/conditions, ski staff, accommodations, food and other activities. For nearby downhill skiing, Park City Ski Area was used by the survey's ranking of The Homestead. Park City Ski Area also received the highest ranking for lifts/lines.
In addition to The Homestead, the top 10 included Sun Valley Resort, Chateau Whistler, Sonnenalp Resort (Vail), Vail Cascade Hotel, Hyatt Regency Beaver Creek, Ritz-Carlton (Aspen), Marriott's Mountain Resort at Vail, Lodge at Vail and Topnotch at Stowe.
The Homestead Resort is a year-round resort with amenities for every age and interest. In addition to cross-country skiing, winter activities include guided snowmobiling tours, snow-shoeing, sleigh rides and scuba diving. The Homestead is located within an easy drive to all the major Wasatch Front downhill skiing areas.
